On a thoroughly wet Sunday at Luton PC, Stopsley, Dean (Railway), Jamie (Baldock Town) and Nigel (Rutland Panthers) found themselves facing each other in the semi final group stage of the EPA's club competition - which ultimately decides England's representative in the 2015 CEP European (Club) Cup. In the first round (of 3) the Panthers (East Midlands Region) demolished Rayne Swan (Eastern Region) by 4-1 while Baldock (Chiltern Region) stunned many pundit's favourites Railway (Kent Region) with a crushing 5-0
Then it was Panthers v Baldock - although, disappointingly, Jamie avoided Nigel in both the Triples and the Doubles (!) In a very tight finish Baldock squeezed a 3-2 win which effectively decided who qualified for the 4-way final on the 8th of March next year. Jamie's Baldock eased up but still managed to wrap up the day with a 3-2 win over Rayne Swan whilst Nigel's Panthers faded with a 1-4 loss to the Kent team
